Well, my kids took First through Fifth place with their Coturnix Quail

The kids took some of our breeder stock since finding out that they could enter Coturnix Quail in the local fair!! They ran the show, of course they were the only quail there!!!LOL

The Tibetan Hen took First place and the Tuxedo Rooster took second. We took a variety except for A & M's, so the coturnix were well represented and are actually getting peoples attention around here!!

Their chickens also did very well, but a beautiful silky ran the show!! Unfortunatley it wasnt theirs or anyone in our 4-H club, but the kids are having a blast non the less!!................Jason

PS- Shoulda seen how many people thought the quail were small chickens!!LOL

4 H is Great my girls have a great time also but our fair is the last one of the season Sept 1-7

Congratulations!!! That is wonderful and I know you are proud. I have taken my kids to horse shows when they were little where they were the only ones running barrels in their age group. That first place meant everything to them!

haha awh that must have been so much fun for you and the kiddos! I would have been in heaven there. Too bad people my age can't be in 4H that'd be so much fun again

LOL I've SERIOUSLY thought about advertising someof my birds for local kids to take to local fairs to show... but I'd worry about my birds when not watched by me so I've relaly been going back and forth on the issue.
