Well, my Sebright Pullet disappeared… 😢

I went out this evening and noticed that my squeaky little Sebright pullet is gone. I’m kinda sad because I wanted to breed her to my cockerel, but I guess not anymore.

I’ve heard of hens laying and hatching chicks then coming back, but she’s only 17 1/2 weeks old so I don’t think that’s the case. The only thing I can think of is an animal got her or our neighbors dog(s).

I had a sebright pullet that tried to fly out of the coop run (which is covered with chicken wire), and somehow strangled herself in the netting. She was also the noisiest little adorable pullet. The nest morning, the squawking was gone. We found her hanging from the chicken wire above the coop run ):

She has gotten out before, but she stays really close to the fence and comes back in as soon as she can.
