they're a stop having feild trips in my school corp.! D:
why?: because feild trips just arnt educational...

They tried to put a halt on it back when I was in highschool, but most of my teachers found a way around it. There was one teacher in particular that just did not like them at all, and I knew she was the one raising the most trouble about it.

There is a lot of legal liability relative to field trips. A lot of things we enjoyed as kids are now not possible thanks to lawyers and government regulators.

Church suppers are out of the question unless they are catered by licensed companies. Church kitchens can be used to heat food, but not prepare it.

Pot lucks are forbidden.

Hay rides are also out. There is just too much liability there.

Bake sales are out unless the goods come from an inspected bakery.

Treats sent to school must be packaged and from the store.

Anyone that volunteers for any youth group is just asking to be sued.

It sure is a different world now days.

Not to mention everyone is trying to save a buck now. Im sure field trips cost something no matter what you do. Not saying I condone it, I always thought field trips were great.

our schools have the money. they get a boat load of new and expensive stuff all the time.
most of the feild trips we take are out to USI (its a collage)
and we do all kinds of sciene crap there
