They do sell a cheaper incubator if you don't mind turning your eggs and monkeying with them, you could try your hand at doing it yourself. I always use my Bantam hens for my hatching, but occasionally a big breed hen goes broody. Wishing you luck no matter what you decide.
now if only my girls had even the smallest interest in sitting on them...I'm a bit nervous thinking about the incubator route just because I've never used one before, but time will tell. He's really far too aggressive for me to let him out of his pen, which makes me sad because I really enjoy seeing my chickens out free roaming.
