Well, the eggs just keep on coming - You go girls!

On Tuesday, we got our first egg and we were so excited - well, guess what an egg the next day and my husband called this morning and there is yet another egg

Well, I guess the honeymoon is over and this is now going to hopefully be old hat. I still have not figured out who is gracing us with these wonderful gifts! Our hens are only 15 weeks 5 days old so I consider ourselves very lucky to have these little gems already! Hope you out there with young hens have good luck like us. It is such a joy to have chickens, I have always dreamed of having them. Four years ago my husband and I made the decision to leave to corporate life, reduce salaries by 68+% and buy property and slow life down and enjoy it! The chickens have helped to complete one of the wishes on the list and our goals are becoming clearer everyday.

Yea, we got 15 chicks because I read everywhere that those specific breeds would only lay 2-3 a week. They all lay EVERY day. So know we are over run with eggs. The dogs and the neighbors get alot of them because we can't eat that many.
