We finally picked up our four girls (18wk old Ross Rangers), and my word they are beautyful!!! I was suprised how calm they was, i thought they would be flapping everywhere but they let us pick them up with just a little cluck.
They selttled in to their brand new coop well and was soon tucking into their meal!! Feel bad for keeping them in for two weeks as they are used to a big field roaming around but hopefully it will fly by and they will soon be wondering around our yard at least it has a run to it so thy been scratching around the ground eating the bugs from the muck heap.
Rushed down to the yard this morn to check the girls and way hay 1 egg!!! how proud am i LOL
Ive been reading the threads about special feeds so i can make the time in the run more interesting for them. Going to get some crickets this afternoon and already have some millet spry and apple for them.
PS THINK IM ADDICTED
They are just brilliant and cant wait to see them pecking around the yard.
Dont think 4 will be enough thou lol
Bit of a useless thread i know, but had to share my news!!!
