Well this isn't fun

Won't it be just as wet in the shower?:p
Ill teach them to stand in the corners, out of the way of the spray. Worse case, there's always the spin cycle on the washer to dry them off too, or the fluff cycle on the dryer.

Is there a way you could build a platform on blocks and temporarily put the tractor on that? Then they could go in the tractor and be dry when they need to, and play in the mud when they want. When things dry out, the tractor could go back in the ground.

My growouts are in tractors, but have an electric fence surrounding a large area where they can roam. They only sleep in the tractors.

yah that electric fence thing.. what happens when it's taken to ground, now you have an electric 'field' in the puddles around the insulator that is under water?
I work in a power plant, Ive seen many bad things happen when voltage goes to ground, maybe IM a bit paranoid but, another thing to think about. The tractor is a rickety heap, im surprised they have not gotten tetanus just looking at it I do probably at some point need to build something better. Probably something more permanent and absolutely, higher, with pumped drainage even if need be the few times a year stuff like this happens.

edit: I was going to post a video of something going kaboom but seems ya'all dont allow mp4 posts. oh well

I've touched many a fence when I, or it, was in standing water. First time was a dare from my cousin when I was about 5 years old. I think I'm still ok.

During an active flood, I would disconnect the fencer, but I wouldn't worry about electrifying the field if there is some standing water. Just make sure your extension cord isn't in the water if using an A/C fencer.

Exactly my point, I had a cord running to their buglamp, which was underwater and hit by the mower a few times, with tape on it. I thought, hmm, do I REALLY want to go wade in the pool of water around that thing? I unplugged it, it still is.
WE can think like that, chickens can't, god forbid something did go wrong and you electrified your yard, they step in and zzt, precooked chicken for dinner... just gut and serve :D
