Everything you are describing makes me think that your birds were subject to a raptor attack. They are still spooked because the hawk is probably still in the area. I seriously doubt that they are scared by the deer.

Yeah...I would have to agree. If they are still acting funny it must be still around. My ducks are the ones who act nutty when something wont leave the area. Mine arent phased by deer. They wouldnt even notice them prob

well rats!

i managed to cox them back into the coop before dark and i'll keep them in there for a few days... just seemed so coincidental with the deer sightings right next to the coop for several days
