Well we Finally Went and Did IT..........

LOL We got a new 40 " Toshiba flat screen HDTV today. we started looking months ago and waited for the tax refund to come in.
It is WONDERFUL!!

IMHO this is what people NEED to do with their tax refund. Not stick it in the bank, but SPEND IT! The way I look at it is today my dh and I paid the cashiers hourly wage for a bit. And we got a good deal on it as well.

I forgot another perk, it is an energy star appliance, hubby just did research and we get a REBATE!!!!!!!! I just paid for half of my carpet for the bedroom........

This is the second year in a row that we're gonna have to pay. Last year it was our fault coz we accidentally took too many exemptions.
This year it's Obama's fault coz we were super-careful with our W4's and they still took next to nothing out of DH's check.

Next year I think we're gonna have to take "negative exemptions"
what I mean is have them take out additional withholdings every check, just so we don't have to pay.

DH and I did that a few months ago. We really splurged and got a 65". But we deserve it. We both work hard and never get to go anywhere much so thats our entertainment for the year. We also got a Blue Ray player with the HD TV its amazing Now DH wants to rent all the movies in blueray.

Congrats! We have four TVs in this house - all the "old-fashioned" kind and only one gets watched; and then only when DH is home.


Our tax refund is going towards doctor bills, brakes for one of the trucks and the house insurance. We had the money already saved for the house insurance but it got converted, into something that is currently chewing my ankles and eating us out of house and home.
