Ended up coming home with 100+ Pheasant chicks. Me and my buddy are gonna get into raising them. I will grow them out at my place. He will finish them at his place. He already has a nice pen which we will probably add to as well. Not planning on keep more then 2-3 dozen breeders....selling half of these at around 5-6 weeks old. And then keeping some fall hunting and breeding. We have had losses but that is to be expected from all the stress they have gone under today. Right now they are all in a brooder about 2ft by 3ft...under a heat light.....dont appear crowed but will be splitting them up tomorrow after I get out to TSC to get another heat bulb.

And there is one that looks like a regular ringneck chick but instead of being black/brown spotted he is Blue/Lavender

To busy moving them around to see what setup they are comfortable in lol....to take pics. But finally found the heat light they LOVE lol. Thought maybe it was warm enough to go without...but was wrong.

They are now inside the garage in a big brooder. Lost probably 20-30 so far. Mostly from stress yesterday and I believe piling. Hopefully the losses will slow or stop after today. They are settled in...warm...and have plenty of food and water. But that still means I have about 70-80 pheasant chicks.

You should probably use 2 seperate heat sources, one on each end of the brooder, so they can spread out more. Pheasants are weird, sometimes they just die like that.

Yeah I normally do. But I needed to get a new bulb. Which I'm picking up later.

You could just use 2-90 watt bulbs, that should be enough heat. I never use heat bulbs unless it is winter, and they are outside. But that's me
