who else is staring into an incubator tonight? I have 7 out of 7 pipped, one has blood on it but not overly concerned. I just find this whole process fascinating

I don't have any Ina bator. I did three hatches a month or so ago. Very fascinating. Congrats on your eggs! Post pics when they hatch!

There's 3, believe it or not, white leghorns x golden laced Wyandotte. I've just had to assist a 4th to hatch as it was nearly 40 hours after pipping and no progress, she was glad to get out of there, I have 2 more trying to hatch that are having trouble so I may assist them in about 12 hours if no progress. The one with blood when it pipped has not made any more progress and there is now no movement so I'm presuming the lil one has died. I love watching chicks hatch, it never gets boring

I had 6 out of 7 hatches, and quite odd because all the eggs came from a white leghorn hen, the rooster is a golden laced Wyandotte, I got 2 white chicks, 3 black chicks and 1 brown chick.. Weirdest hatch ever lol. I had humidity problems at the end so had to help 3 out of the eggs, they are all thriving now though

I wish people around here would just swap eggs.. Seems like everyone is so greedy. I have a lot of different breeds myself and enjoy trying new things.

I do have one neighbor like that but most of his chickens are already mixed.. I just end up giving him hatched chicks and started birds.I'm suppose to get some guinea eggs from him to finish in the incubator.
