I have a batch of eggs in the bator... 1 is a welle (hen) x ee (roo) cross and I was currious if anyone has one and what their eggs look like? I'm thinking I might get speckled green or speckled olive eggs but would love to see pictures of any that may already be out there. Then again my luck it will be a roo if it hatchs.

I haven't hatched any yet- but I plan on it when the weather gets better. The chick will probably be chipmunk like a wellie. You'd most likely get olive eggs from the offspring, but a little lighter than they would be if it was a marans x EE. It all depends on what egg genes the chick inherits.

Not yet for me, my girls haven't laid a egg one yet.
I have 2 welsummer girls in with a EE rooster.
I'm hoping for a olive or green tinted egg from the pullets. And I'm hoping for the chicks to all have the puffy beards.
Cant wait to see what you get.

You should get an Olive Egger (lays a beautiful olive-green color) but since it is your rooster that is the Easter Egger, you may just be in terrible luck and only get a brown egg layer.

That's why when I'm going to make Olive Eggers, I stick with a breed I know will make the blue egg - Ameraucanas. (although I'm hoping down the road to get a better blue line)

It also depends on how dark of eggs your Welsummer lays - If they are below a 6 on the chart, your olive egg should be kind of faintly colored.

As soon as I get some eggs I'm expecting, I am going to put some of my EE eggs in there. I have a welsummer rooster. My EE lays a light green, so I'm hoping I'll get an olive type color that will darken it up some.

We can compare differences later on whether the welsummer being the roo or the hen makes a difference.

Mom is an EE and Pops is a Wellie
Oops....Sorry,..... I don't know what color eggs it will have, it might be a little roo for all I know right now.

I have some wellie/olive egger mixes. They were a test hatch. I just moved them out to the grow pen in the chicken house. I'll try to get some clear pictures later. The rooster is an olive egger. So far, they are feathering out gorgeous. One of them ( girl for sure) has very light blue legs. ( If that makes sense. ) She is my favorite so far. The other two, I can't quite tell if they are male or female yet. Some others out that group are wellie/BCM crosses, and they are just as pretty.

I also have to say, This bunch is the most laid back bunch of chicks I've had yet.

Not too much bothers them, and they don't even seem to mind when big scary hand reaches in to change water, feeder, etc.
