Hello BYC! My husband and I are new to chickens, and we got 20 chicks April 2012. My husband and two sons built a fantastic coop and run for them. We have 19 hens and 1 roo, but I am still tying to sort out their breeds. Know I have 4 buffs, and think the rest are Brown Leghorns, RIR and Sex linked. I found BYC very helpful when we were in the planning process,and used the information here from making the decision to get chicks, thorough coop design and building, and now with daily flock care. The rest of our family includes two yellow labs and a cat.

chicken math took over and the addiction began!
