Just wondering if anyone has a clue about if these are male or female? They are about 4 weeks old and 1 has started making a different sound than the others. 2 are still peeping and the other is close to a quack. These are my very first ducks.

All cows are called cows lol, even bulls
All chickens are called chickens lol, even roosters
All goats are called goats lol, even bucks

My using the term "duck" and "drake" to differentiate between male and female is commonly used in the professional farming community.

Thanks for the info. If I may ask another question. How many ducks should I have for 2 drakes?

They’re beautiful ducks. I think the darker headed ones are drakes. Apparently Welshies are easy to sex at birth due to a marking on their bill.

Welsh harlequin drakes have very high libido so most people can keep up to eight girls for every drake. You should still get great hatch rates with such a high ratio and you probably won't deal with over breeding. Some people are able to keep pairs but I think two drakes is too much for one girl to handle.

:lau two boys is too much for most girls to handle hahaha couldn't help myself. Sounds like a lot of work. Im sure 7-8 girls sounds like a lot of work for most boys too though.
