We are trying out ducks for first time and was curious on some more experienced opinions on sex. It appears back one is definitely male but I am not as confident on the rest. They are about 8 weeks old.

I can try to get video when I move them back outside pretty hard to hear them in the garage. The gnats were making them miserable.
The gnats are definitely terrible this year! At any rate, I agree that the fellow in the back is likely male. If you hear any of the others make loud quacks they are female. You can look for videos on voice-sexing ducks. Girls are very loud, while the boys have a lower, quieter, and raspier voice,

I’d say on appearance alone, the yellow-billed is male, so 1 drake, 3 hens, but voice-sexing is most reliable at this time, yeah. You can upload a video to YouTube and link it here.
