It's a rooster. When my chickens were 20 weeks, their combs had just started turning red.

Male welsummers have a black chest. Females have a salmon one. That's a cockerel.

Thanks for all your replies! I kind of knew but hoped for someone to say they had doubts. I had to help him get hatched and it took him two days. Every time I tried to get him out the inner layer would start to bleed but at the same time it was so dry. So it was kind of a miracle he survived. Too bad I have to find him another home
