Welsummer Contest! PRIZE! *CLOSED*

Hey! Where's EweSheep? She has Wellies...and she is part of the Welsummers Club of America (or something like that)...

Mine are from a small hatchery, they were not bought for show so I don't expect raving reviews, they are laying pretty dark eggs, especially one of them (not sure who...) so tell me about them....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you'll most likely be changing "his" name because "he" is a "she". Maybe Wilma?

God Bless,

REALLY??!?!?? That would be AWESOME!! I sent these pics to a wellie breeder, and she had me convinced it was a HE! That would make me very happy to be able to keep "her" with my layer flock, rather than selling "him" off!

(The other baby in the pics is a wellie/salmon fav cross).

Great looking bird. I want my pullets to have better combs like yours, but mine have that fused thing going on in the front and then skinny spikes. Not sure about the second one yet, she's a late bloomer.

You would want even points on a comb, no fused or forked points, They should not bend over like a Leghorn because either you got a Brown Leghorn or it is a BAD flaw. They seem to bloom late but once they start getting their true colors and laying, its no turning back!

Thanks so much mtmimi777 we just love her. It was a fluke that we even got a welsummer chick at all so she is our only one (out of 6 back yard hens! we have an urban set up).
