Welsummer gender?

Hi! These guys are about a week old. From what I've read, the one on the left would most likely be male and the one on the right female, based on the amount of eyeliner. Any ideas?

No, but they're cute!! Seriously, though, I have a pullet, and she did look like the one on the left with a littlecomb on her head!!!

It may work for some lines- like Whitmore Farms birds- but it hasn't been accurate for me. My last 3 hatches I had all roosters- even though they looked different. Congrats on your new ones either way! The roos are gentle, and the hens are lovely

Didn't work for my wellies last year. I did know by 3-4 weeks; any that sprout black chest feathers are roo's. At least you don't have to wait too long

Oh, thank you for the chest feathers tip! I have two Wellie chicks (along with a RIR and a BR) and I cannot have a second rooster on my property, so I've been hoping the feed store (or hatchery from whence the chicks came) got them sexed properly.
