Welsummer + Marans hybrids?

Hey, BYC. I was wondering if anyone happened to have a wellie + marans hybrid. I've heard that the hybrids are really sweet and excellent layers of chocolate brown eggs. Cool, thanks.

If you are not breeding them for purity, go ahead and breed them, they would make beautiful egg layers! You might get something a bit darker than a Wellie but not as dark as the Marans, something in between!
