This chick is 5 weeks old and is supposed to be a Welsummer pullet. I had brown leghorns with my last batch of chicks and at this stage I honestly can’t tell the difference.

Do I have to wait and see if she gets white earlobes? Or is there another way to tell?

Pics would help. They didn’t want to upload to the first post for some reason.

Looks like a Welsummer to me. A Leghorn would have white ear lobes.
I went back thru my pics and it didnt look like the brown leghorns starting showing white earlobes until they were much closer to point of lay. Maybe close to 13-14 weeks old or so

That doesn’t look like my welsummer pullets ( I raise them) Pullets have a salmon chest. Do you have updated pictures. (For reference young pullet - 5-6 weeks)

This is the most recent I have at the moment. Taken Dec 26th so she would be 10.5 weeks old.

It’s not a Welsummer. I’m not sure what she is. This is a Welsummer. Yours does look like a pullet however!

The first pic because Franny is cute, and the second shows off Hoppy’s beautiful feathering on her chest.

Welsummers have combs and wattles, and they’re by far my favorite out of all my birds.
