Welsummer or Brown Leghorn?

Here's some from today, 13 and a half weeks. And dont forget, this would be a hatchery quality bird.

All puffed up in that last one because I DARED to pick her up and put her on the roost to get the pics lol.

At least her ear lobes havent turned white yet so maybe less likely to be a brown leghorn.

She could easily be a Welsummer, and she is certainly a girl. Males of any breed would not have this coloration, it is female specific.

I’ve had two Welsummer pullets and they both looked just like yours at this age. That being said I haven’t had any Brown Leghorns, so I don’t know when they would develop white earlobes. I don’t think at the pullet stage you can easily tell by any other identifying factor, but perhaps a Leghorn expert can chime in to help.

Either way, she’s beautiful! I hope you are happy with her :)

I am happy with her, her personality is nothing like the brown leghorns I had in the past. She's a sweet little thing who loves being my "helper" when ever I'm in the coop or run doing things.
