Welsummer question???

I got a yellow welsummer chick from some eggs I hatched. It also has dark legs. Mine obviously wasn't pure. Did you hatch these yourself or get them somewhere else?

The legs should be yellow.

Here's a photo of one of my roos, Tiny Tim when he was about 9 weeks old. Excuse his deformed foot...and his extra short legs....BUT his legs are the Welsummer yellow of my others (I just don't have any photos uploaded of them).

maybe they are Brown Leghorns LOL!

Seriously, Welsummers should have yellow legs but will bleach out when they are laying. See my website for colors and type.

I contacted the breeder.He said "dad" might be ameracauna

I was thinking of breeding welsummers. Begining with these 2 girls. I guess thats out. They are mutts. I already have mutt eggs. EE and BR. Oh well, I guess I learned a lesson. ASK before you buy.
