Welsummer vs Brown leghorn identification help.

The feed store said buff orpington, obviously that isn't correct. I have done a little research and narrowed it down to welsummer or brown leghorn. Given the lack of a white earlobe I am leaning towards welsummer. What do you guys think?

Here is a picture of one of my Welsummers for comparison perhaps that will help.

Ok looks a lot like mine. The only difference is the earlobe on yours is a bright red and mine is more of a light red color. Did that darken as she got older? Also, when did the comb start to develop?

Looks like a Welsummer to me. The earlobes should turn bright red along with the face, comb, and wattles when she's ready to lay.

She's a Welsummer. A light brown leghorn would have white ear lobes.

In some ways it is hard to remember details from almost two years ago. All I do remember is that yes, they did darken as she got closer to laying eggs.

I got her in early June and didn't start getting eggs until November.
