Please do post pictures if any hatch. The brother to this rooster has a neck that is noticeably whiter and I think looks more like a Delaware. I'll try to post a pic of him soon. I was thinking of breeding this rooster back to a Delaware hen. Would the offspring be as productive as a pure bred Delaware?They are nice looking and whiter than I expected! The six month pic looks almost like my Delaware roos except the neck is more golden. I only kept the Del roos for 5 months, had too many roos!
I appreciate the pics and it's funny that I finally get to see them while I'm collecting eggs to hatch. I hope to have 4 of the Wel/Del cross to hatch, 2 more days to collect.
Hopefully I'll have chicks in a little over three weeks, if I do I'll post day old pics here. Trying out a new incubator so fingers crossed![]()
