Sad news.......
Last night we came back from church to a completely dark town (all the power was out)! My first thought was "NO! What about my incubators!". Well, the power was out for 1 1/2 hour before we got back

, so the 'bators were down to around 75*. I insulated them with towels and stuff, but buy the time the power came back on 30 min later, they still had dropped another 5*.
This set with the Wellies was due to hatch today

I think they will be OK, I had one incident that power was out for three days and I kept the eggs warm by hot water bottling it before the power turned back on. They were fine but delayed hatching by three to four more days after their due date.

the welsummers are the chicks that look like little chipmunks. I have wellies and they are the sweetest chickens I own. They talk to me the whole time I am in their pen. You still have a good chance of them hatching maybe a little late though. At the end of the hatch they create some of their own heat. good luck hope all goes well. My wellies always hatch on day twenty and twenty one with some pipping sometimes on day nineteen'
