Can you get me an up-close picture of a few of their combs from above? Penedesencas have carnation combs so should have a split blade on the back. Another option could potentially be Welbars although they shouldn't have white earlobes and white legs. Regardless, I have looked up where you purchased them from and it does seem to be from Hoover's. Hoover's is infamous for selling chicks and not announcing the breed/variety until the next season. Or this feed store potentially got a batch in from a hatchery other than Hoover's (who doesn't carry any breeds that match their appearance). I'm very curious what they actually are and I'm betting on Crele Penedesenca. They're one of the few breeds with white earlobes that are known for laying dark brown eggs.
