Hi there! My name is AM, even though I am not a morning person.
I recently got into chickens, about 4 months ago. When doing all my research I swore I wouldn't do hatchling and chicks, just pullets at least 8 weeks old. My first little quartet of serama/frizzle mixes ranged from 1 week to 5 weeks(Bruce, Dahlia, Marsha, Baby). My flock has since expanded considerably. I now have a brahma who is currently my only layer (Big Mama), 2 EE (Gertrude and Theadora), a Crested Cream Legbar (Beatrice), a welsummer (Willamena), and 2 ripple muskovey ducks (Delilah and Hersheys). I'm starting my first hatch tonight with a different assortment of eggs.
It's been nice introducing myself.

Your chickens have sweet names! Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
( I just shocked myself with that). I need to do a quick head count tomorrow. I also have 6 muscovies. Half of my total chicken count is bantams and the other half are standard but are under four months old. I hatched them myself too.
