My little 'Penguin' survived a Copper's Hawk attack yesterday. She was in shock, so she's indoors, warm, getting Nutridrench and VetRX. I realized today that ahe's blind. Our vet knows a lot about chickens and have her an anti inflammatory: she feels she's probably got some cranial swelling and it might go away in a few days. If she stays blind she'll probably have to live in isolation to avoid getting bullied by the other girls. I hope she starts eating tomorrow!

poor baby, she has to be tough to survive the hawk. I hope she does well.

I had a hawk attack on one of my chickens 2 years ago. Her crop was opened and I sewed her up with 14 stitches and placed her back in with the flock. She is still my best layer and had no trouble with the other chickens. All the best to you and your chicken.
