Went Full Circle

I hatched out some barnyard mixes last year and the boys are teenagers now and with hormones raging they are wreaking havoc on my poor hens.
I decided enough was enough and figured it was stew pot time!
Hubby and I processed four roosters today and will do the rest tomorrow.
This was our very first time ever processing so it took us a while.
Took us 45 min per bird.
I'm just glad it is way easier than I had imagined!

I had only tasted "real" chicken once when I was living in Romania.
They processed the chicken and made chicken soup that night.
I thought I had died and went to finger-lickin-chickin Heaven!
OH! It was the BEST!
