Great idea BigPeep and one we have considered. Really just unsure how to go about it. Thought about flyers in local food co-ops and perhaps contacting the paper...
Going to go to the city council meeting and ask for time, a continuance of sorts. Do you know if this is proper or common or even allowed?
Know one thing for sure, keeping a couple of chickens does not seem to be a threat to anything. We just went to a organic farmers market in Minneapolis called Mill City Farmers Market on Saturday and there was one stall or booth with some poultry. They had the most gorgeous Silver Laced Wyandotte and a Ameraucana rooster (okay we might be biased on this one) that drew a lot of attention and did nothing short of make us wish for progress in this endeavour with Chanhassen. It is sort of dissappointing to know that the city of Chanhassen is a name from the American Indians for the Sugar Maple Tree and yet what the city does is so often not very sweet.
And yes BigPeep there are quite a few Norwegians up here...ya know. <grin> Thanks again.
