We're finally getting a new barn!!

We are building a barn home, plans from Barnplans.com.
We got the foundation, sub floor, insulation & floor decking done last summer/fall & tarped it for winter.
Come spring we untarp & go all the way up !

I cannot hardly waite after living in a tiny cabin while we build.

It has awesome roof trusses !!!!!!!!!!!!

Upstairs art studio (North side) and bedroom have HUGE ceilings ! So much awesome space in a barn !

That is going to be awesome!! You'll definitely have to post pictures when you get it finished!!

When we bought our house part of our lot was outside the fence. We talked to our neighbor and she would not agree to move it even after we showed her our survey. After she put her house up for sale I wanted the fenced moved before the new buyers thought part of our lot was theirs so we moved the fence in the middle of the night.

She never noticed!

We finally have this resolved... after 9 months.. the idiots get to pay roughly 4 times as much to their attorney and us (mostly the attorney) than what we had originally offered to just sell it to them for.. we get to pay about $1500 over and above what they ended up paying us to our attorney that we had to hire when they sued us.. I'm glad they don't actually live there but in a way it would be nice if they did... It would be just one more reason to raise a couple hundred roosters in pens right along the property line across from the house...

Do you get much heavy rainfall? I'd be worried about the banks around the barn washing away.

Not much in the heavy rainfall... I'll be moving some dirt this spring to level out the two sides that had to be built up.. I don't think we'll have a problem...

thats an awesome barn, when i built my shed (24x30) for 4k more i coulda made it 30x40. i sure wish ida spent the extra money

One of the most awesome aspicts of a barn..is that you can go out forever...so why can't you go out farthere now ?
As long as there is room, of course.
Our Barn Plans can go on forever..24 X30 or 24X 50....
The only deal with us is we are making it a home & so it is inspcted And it has a 24" perimeter foundation...but we could add on & on & on if ya get my drift~~~~~~~~~~~

BTW the "out house in the back is really our "laundrymat" with washing machine in it.seriously we are camping here as we build !
