this is our first incubation. out of 12 fertilized eggs we have our Speckled Sussex cross flock
rooster - a speckled Sussex
hens - Buff Orpington and Golden Comet

I have a handful of SS cross in my flock. I love them. Their mom (pure SS) was one of my favorite chickens I've ever kept.

Congrats on your hatch! It is always fun to hatch out chicks, and I think especially if they came from your own chickens (interesting to see personality and other traits passed down and such.)
