We're new peep parents...first timers...

Thanks all! I grew up on a farm and had tons of chickens but never did I buy and raise them like this... usually it was a momma bird raising the peeps and not me. I'm amazed by how much these three little pigs-that-look-like-chickens eat!!!! Amazing, really, how Nature has them growing so fast and they eat and drink pretty much all the time...a little here, a little there and then on occasion, a feeding frenzy.

I didn't realize this was my first post. Weird, but I thought I've posted before but I think maybe I have just been reading so much it feels like i've been on the forum for along time.

Hmm.... not so sure about that. LOL I think I can give these peeps a good life but I have so many hobbies these days (I say hobbies in an attempt to say I enjoy them) that keep this guys busy all weekend long. I know how addictions work though-- you only realize you have one when its too late. LOL So we'll see!

Hooray! I love your names! We have Mabel, Maude and Ethel and our next three (chicken math in action) are going to be Dorothy, Gertrude and Harriet. LOL Welcome!!

Awww! Congratulations on your first flock! I love Buffs, and am actually brooding my daughter's little Buff cuties for her at my house right now while I wait for my Easter Eggers to get here.

I love the names!

I have 12 new ones coming the end of may to ad to my flock of 21. We are going into our third year of having chickens and this will be our 3rd addition. (Chicken math that is) My new desire is to purchase French copper marans and some Americauna eggs and try to hatch them out

I also loved your names. The old fashioned ones somehow seem to fit chickens. I have a Thelma & Louise. I also like Lucy & Ethel. But I really don't call them by their names as I can't tell them apart very well. Have fun!
