I had a phone call last year from someone wanting just three eggs- I chatted to them a while - and they were able to realise that ordering so few- they may be wasting time putting them into the incubator at all. Shipping can be very hard on the eggs- and even those that start to develop may not hatch. When shipping eggs- I only do so in quantities of a dozen and over purely because of the fact that generally- hatch rates from posted eggs are much lower than that of eggs that are not transported at all.

If the reason you want only two eggs- is because you only want two ducklings- you are better off looking at some other alternatives.

Buy more eggs and sell/ give away any extra ducklings.
Buy ducklings already hatched.
Find eggs locally that dont have to be posted- but still buy more than two.
Make a deal with someone local to hatch some eggs- but give them back any extras hatched.

I get people on Ebay who ask me all the time if I'll sell them two eggs. I usually just charge for the shipping and not for the eggs. I'll also tell them that I'll send 3, just in case.

You want to buy 6 eggs and hope that 2 hatch. Or a dozen and hope that 5 hatch. Or two dozen and hope for 10. That's what you can generally expect from shipped eggs IF everything goes as planned. But with only two, you might get one, but more likely, nothing.

Shop local, check craigslist. If you see someone selling ducklings, you can just buy already hatched and get 2 ducklings. (3 would be better). If the add says they hatched them themselves, it wouldn't hurt to ask if they have eggs to sell.

edited to add: And I say this with 6 eggs coming to me this week from the west coast. LOL I'm seriously hoping I get 2 ducklings or better out of it. I only spent $25 including shipping, worth a shot for nice ducks!

The average hatch rate on shipped eggs is 30-50%. Now I had 100% hatches too, but that is rare. I also had batches were only one hatched. So get twice as many as you want and see what happens.
