Hi,

I was wondering. My girls are laying pretty well. I'm getting between 6 to 10 eggs a day. I was thinking about selling the eggs since I am now over loaded with eggs. I do give them to the neighbors but thought selling them would work out a lot better. At least I could cover some of the cost of feed.

I would like to buy egg cartons for a good price. I do reuse egg cartons but I would like to have my own generic carton rather then someone elses business name on it. I am in Southeaster NC. Thanks

CJ

You could check your local feedstore - I've seen some at one of ours. Also -

www.eggcartons.com
www.eggboxes.com
www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/egg_cartons.html

(I found those Googling - I'm afraid I can't vouch for any of them, as I've never bought any (yet

I think you probably would do best to look at prices on the posted links and compare to your local prices. My local feed stores both sell plain paper cartons for 39 cents apiece. If I remember right, you can get a better deal online if you buy in quantity, and aren't too picky. You often can choose plain or misprinted cartons, and sometimes you can get free shipping as a special.

I've used www.eggcartons.com in the past. I purchased misprinted cartons and labels (like "Free Range" or "Please Return Cartons" or "Hand Gathered Eggs").
You can order online or call and talk with very nice people. I just have a few customers at this point. They do return the cartons in great shape too.

Good Luck!

Thank you for you help. I do have friends save there cartons. The farm store here charges 47 cents for their blank styrofoam cartons. I was hoping to find something cheaper at other feed stores but they don't carry any. I will check out the sites. Thanks again.
