Help. TSC sold us a rooster chick with in our other hens. Now he's learned to crow and our town has an ordinance against them. I don't want to take him to the MSPCA, but he can't stay here. Anybody want a friendly rooster? We are in Western Mass.

Yup one always slips in from hatcheries... If you are Facebook, find local chicken groups and crosspost it there too!!
Add a picture of the guy!
Good luck on rehome, it takes some effort but usually ends well..

I'm in Mass too and had a surprise cockerel this spring. I joined the FB page for the Homesteaders of New England and had great luck re-homing my guy. I asked a lot of questions to avoid someone who was looking for a free stew ingredient. But it worked out well Good luck to you! It is hard, especially when they are nice roos. But, honestly, my girls were so happy when he left. Girl power (!).

I know! Life rarely works out that way. I do hope he's OK, but have restrained myself from messaging the family that took him. He's a Speckled Sussex and they were specifically looking for that breed of roo. So he's in their hands now....
