Wet Babies and Cold Weather

I just went outside to put the babies back in the coop (they haven't figured it out yet) and they were soaking wet. Should I turn the heat lamp on to dry them out or something? Thanks!

Yes you should, if they'll catch a cold, and you don't have meds, they'll die. It's raining here too, but I don't have a heat lamp so I just lock the chick inside aslightly big bird house to keep it warm.

How old are your babies? They should be taken inside to be dried off before being back out in rainy weather. I recommend drying them off inside before putting them back out there, if its really cold in your area they might die of hypothermia. By the way it is perfectly safe to use a hair dryer on its low setting.

Yeah.
F babies meaning,like adult angels,then they may possibly be fine.
I have this happen,normally they just shake the rain off,they are a year,and about 4 or 5 months old,so yeah.
I dont think they will get colds,but AreolynAreolyn has provided some good info,I agree with hin,definitely.

What breeds do you have?
