Is it a problem that my chickens won't go in to the coop while it's raining??? I'm in Georgia so it's not really cold, but it's raining like crazy outside. It's not all of them, but 3 or 4 of them won't go in. One of them is my silkie rooster, I'm worried he may get sick :\

None of my flock retreat for cover unless its really bucketing down. They end up looking like drowned rats - them's chickens for ya. Nothing to worry about.

Some of mine seem to like being out in the rain too......was concerned by how wet they looked, 'drowned rats' came to mind.
But I felt under their feathers and they were warm and dry at the skin.

All four of mine were looking pitiful in the rain, to be honest, exactly like a drowned rat. We figured that in the wild, they get along so.....
