Wet chicks in batter with piped eggs

I have a chick who hatched on end of day 19. In about 5hours it will be end of day 20. So this chick has been out for almost 24 hrs and is still wet. I don’t want to remove it because one it’s still wet looking and two because I have other eggs that are still hatching. Is he ok to stay and for how long? My humidity was at 60-65 for the most part of lockdown (I couldn’t get it any higher). It’s gone up to 70 now that there are hatched. Do I leave them in there till day 25 in case of late Hatcher’s? I’m fearful to shrink wrap the remaining eggs?

Yes. At least one that I can see, possibly two. It almost end of day 20 and I have 5 more eggs I’m waiting to hatch. The one that hatched first that is not dry now has a large sac with blood hanging from it. He is getting blood on the other three chicks and some eggs. Note the others have not dried but they hatched within the last five hours.

Doesn't sound like the 1st one hatched has fully finished his yolk but it shouldn't be bloody. And should have dried and fell off in that 24 hours its been hatched, doesn't sound to good for him. Is it walking around normally?

He seems to be struggling but still walking. It was not there before. He seemed to have a red swollen bum and then I cam back and found it hanging from him.

Sounds like it is intestines if it wasn't there when hatched. That is not good. Sorry to say but if it is that it doesn't usually end well.

Should I take him out? If so should I try to want him up in case it isn’t intestines. I still have Unhatched eggs and three other birds in there that are wet. It is in my washroom so I can heat up the room and steam it with the shower in hopes to not effect the others still in there. Oh so sad!

And for your question on how long to leave in incubator. I remove mine as soon as i can to get them eating and drinking as soon as possible. I know some leave them in until all are hatched but I wouldn't leave mine in over 24 hours. I have another incubator and remove them as hatched and put them in there to dry out. Only takes a few hours in dry incubator. I have even put them in a brooder that is in a controlled environment that is about 95 degrees at bedding. Some times humidity is so high in lockdown incubator they don't dry well.

I don't worry that much about opening incubator for a very quick removal. I haven't had any real trouble with shrink-wrapping as long as your quick and don't leave batter open for long periods.

Sorry again about that 1st hatched. Hopefully everything goes well with the rest. And don't blame yourself these are things that sometimes just happen. As sad as it is.
