My rooster has had a wet cough for about 2 months now and I have no clue how to treat it. I have given him tylan, oxytet, and gallimycin. None of those have helped and he still has this wet cough. That is the only problem he has. Still is active eating drinking and just goes about his business. I need a medicine to give him because I'm getting frustrated at it not going away. The cheaper the better as far I am concerned. Thank you.

that would be frustrating! In my opinion Vet Rx is not really a medicine but kind of like vicks vapor rub for us...it won't treat an illness but may provide temporary relief....How much Tylan and how long did you run the course? I had a silkie last month with exactly what your explaining and I gave her injectable tylan 50 at a little under half cc once a day for 5 days. It didn't seem to help until about the last day or 2. Now she's fine and back with the rest of the flock. Depending on how big your bird is you may need to adjust the cc's but mine was a small framed 4 month old. Hope you get some good answers and he gets to feeling better...nothing more heart wrenching than a bird you care for and can't help!
