I know that ducks are messy. I found that out after about 15 mins

. I also know that they need water to digest their food. I use a feeder like this

I have two problems:
#1. They waste a lot of feed
#2. The feed gets wet(i guess because of the water in their mouth). When it gets wet, it kinda cakes up, not really wet but just damp, it stops the feed from come through the slot into the red pan bottom.
Would moving the water far away from the feed help keep the feed dry? Anybody?

I would move them a few feet apart. Can your ducks climb into your feeder, or is it raised up? if not raise it a little, and see if that stops the spillage.

I have the same problem - I'm thinking that when they get a little older and I can get them on pellets maybe I can use one of those bin-type feeders like you use for rabbits?

I did move the water away from the feed but they still make the caked up mess.

I'd love to hear other's solutions too!
