Wet feather duck cleaning

My duck has wet feather but it is Freezing where i live he is a house duck can i put him under the shower and how do i dry him?
(He doesnt understand a heat lamp and goes crazy by a hair dryer) he really wants to clean him self he is trying to climb in his water.
(Normally i wash him with a slightly warm wet towel)

If he is inside where it's warm just let him bathe in warm water and then use a towel to get dripping water off then let him preen and spread his oils over his feathers.

As long as Duckie is fully feathered and it's 66F in your home once you blot the dripping water off of him he should be able to preen and dry the rest of the way.
