Hello everyone! Where I live recently we've gotten two straight days of rain. While the temperatures at night haven't been bad, they're going to drop off quickly in the next week from mid 40's* to the low 20's*. In the not to far off future, the Weather Channel is predicting snow or rain during the day and well below freezing temps at night. Will my chickens be ok if they have wet feathers when those freezing nights come? Farmers Almanac also predicts a really bad winter for us.

Your chickens will be fine as long as they have a place out of the wind and that has cover. Chickens are quite hardy, and those aren't very temperatures so I wouldn't worry.

Will they be ok even if they have wet feathers? They're out of the wind and their coop is solid and off the ground.

Go out after dark and feel under the feathers of those wet birds.......they will be dry and warm at the skin.
