I have twelve 8 week old chicks. We recently built their coop and run. The last 2 days we have big thunderstorms and discovered there is some leaking in the run. Their grit was in a bowl and it got wet. Should I spread it out somewhere and let it dry out? Just leave it in the bowl and let it eventually dry out? Thanks!

I drilled several 1/16 inch holes in my Grit and Oyster Shell pails around the bottom edge to drain moisture. 20180718_090835.jpg . GC

I keep grit & oyster shells in separate containers for the girls, and also through some in the run so they can scratch for it. I have mixed grit, chick size & regular, in the same container. That way the chicks and hens get it when they need it.
