I think most of us can relate to wet soppy conditions.
What I haven't gotten an answer to is whether we are talking straw or hay.
I spread straw on snow and sometimes when there are very muddy conditions. But hay should never be used because it molds rapidly when wet and will cause respiratory and other problems.
