I had always heard the phrase "Madder than a wet hen". Now that we have 5 hens we were surprised to see them standing outside in a very heavy rainstorm on more than one occasion. They have access to their coop or a sheltered area but they stayed out in the weather. Normal behavior or not????

My girls will stay out in the rain, but totally freak out when they encounter an impact sprinkler. Yester day they wandered into the path of the sprinkler about 10 minutes after a small shower and you would have thought someone was chasing them with a chain saw:rolleyes:
