Wet & muddy Run

I was wondering what would be the best way to dry up my Chicken run, Should I use some DE??? Straw?? BOTH??

how much mud are we talking? and how big is the run? I wouldn't use de as it seems like a waste. straw can work but leaf litter, and or sawdust work well

Its not that big, and It just gets nasty on 1 sq foot spot, I just dont want it to be unhealthy for them. Ive been using straw, and it was doing the job, but we got alot of rain the last few days.

Try using some shingle to bring up the ground level then put some dirt or something on top , they will still get wet/muddy if you do so but it will be less so. Or just add some wood shavings after the shingle
