I think the mold from the hay is when it is baled wet and mold forms inside the bales. It is nasty then. If it just got wet through rain or being splashed on by the duckies in their pool, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

By the way, no grass here either however, mine doesn't eat grass much, just poos all over it and gets it muddy from the pond.
