Hello, where I am we are having bad weather. It's raining constantly. A few nights ago when it first started to rain their coop actually Flooded! We had to put newspaper down in the bathtub that night. We have waterproofed the coop so they aren't getting wet but we have noticed they are getting a bit cold. We have a lot of wood shavings in there and eachother to keep warm. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing and if they have what can I do to help them.

My deep litter got soaked during a thaw. :( I bought a bag a Pelletized Bedding, which I just scattered dry. (The instructions tell you to wet it before use-- I did not) The pellets absorbed the excess moisture and it worked well here. You want to keep the bedding as dry as possible.

Yes, you could try the wood pellet bedding often used for horses. Sorry that happened. I recall my roof let go once.. we only had it tarped at the time.. i went in to a waterfall no joke straight down, i about died.

I know some add a product called stall dry, it's mainly for horses but i have no experience just a random thing out there that may help.
