We've got a scared hen!

I don't know how or why this happened. Yesterday morning and this mornibg when I went into the coop to check for eggs, an Australorp was sitting on the roost. I got to the doorway( we leave the door open all day), she say me and flew into the window then ran to the door and ran and flew as fast as she could to get away from me. It's not like she's never seen me before. I let them out every morning and nothing ever happened. Does anybody know why she would start doing this? I haven't done anything to her.

Maybe different clothing or ?

Sometimes chickens are just weird.

Any chance she was scared by a predator?

Could of just startled her. I have a leghorn that can be skittish and if I move to sudden she freaks.

Try going out first thing again with some of her favorite treats. She will come around. We have an old rooster who washed in on flood waters and he will run and squack if ya get within 10 feet of him, and if ya have some bread or vegi peelings he is your best friend and will peck at your shoe laces.

I gave her treats about a couple hours later and she acted like nothing happened.
